Chiropractic care may be used to support comfort and movement throughout pregnancy. The additional physical changes and stresses pregnancy can place on the muscles and joints of the body, particularly around the lower back, pelvis and hips, may contribute to pain, stiffness and mobility issues.
We provide gentle, tailored care based on an individual’s presentation and stage of pregnancy. A full history and assessment is carried out prior to any treatment taking place. If there are any concerns or findings requiring further medical assessment, a same-day referral to your GP or maternity care provider can be arranged where appropriate.

Some parents also seek chiropractic assessment for their babies, children and teenagers where they have concerns about comfort, movement or muscle tension. Children and teenagers may experience musculoskeletal discomfort related to growth, posture, sport or daily activities.
Any care provided is gentle, age-appropriate and based on a thorough musculoskeletal assessment. Where appropriate, practitioners may have undertaken additional postgraduate training in paediatric assessment and care.

If there are any concerns outside the scope of musculoskeletal care, we will recommend referral to a GP or paediatric specialist.
