Active Release Technique (ART)
ART is an non invasive manual therapy technique. It involves the practitioner applying pressure over the affected muscle. The individual is asked to move the injury site from a shortened or active position to a lengthened one. This technique helps to effectively treat the soft tissues by combining manipulation with movement. By isolating and targeting a specific muscle, you can break up scar tissue and encourage blood flow which promotes faster healing.
